I just purchased an a1ii and I am looking for an arca swiss baseplate that also serves as a grip extension. I have a Small Rig one on my a7iv, but I have not been able to find one for the a1ii. I am not interested in an L bracket since I don’t ever mount my camera to the tripod that way. The Small Rig I have on the a7iv serves several functions; grip extension, protection, arca swiss mount, and swing arm part that ensures the battery door stays shut. I can’t believe that nobody makes one for the a1ii. Maybe I am missing something so any help/suggestions are appreciated.

I was on a photowalk recently, and the leader had a baseplate on his A1 II as a grip extension - I'll see if I can ask what brand it is. I thought it was SmallRig, but it might not be - definitely has the ArcaSwiss mount built it.

Great thank you!!!

I like the Peak Design base plates because they are small but also allow for option on where you can attach an anchor point for the strap. For me the best strap anchor points are left body and base plate.
