Sony A7R IV Black square

I have just upgraded my R3 to a 7R4 but on the viewfinder/back screen there is a black square that I can’t find a way to get it to go away.
Any ideas please?

Hi Iain this is your focus area...I guess you are set on expanded spot

If you go into the focus area settings you should be able to switch it off but as you start ussing your camera i think you will find its presence
of great value, paarticularily for the spot modes to achieve critical focus.

Thanks. I'd never seen it before on my other bodies.
