Anybody know how to set a custom white balance with strobes? It's easy to set a custom white balance up with ambient light but I can't figure out a way to this with flash. With older Canon EOS models it's easy as the camera requires you to take an actual photo then the camera takes the data off said photo, but the Sony does not take a photo, it just takes a reading off whatever you point the camera at and you can't do this with a flash.

I know you can set the camera's white balance to 'flash' but different flash heads give out a different colour temperature, anywhere between 5,000 and 6,800, depending on the brand so this is always going to be out.

You should be able to use the custom white balance function to shoot a white/grey card to set a custom WB. If you have a trigger/flash setup then it should fire when you try to set the WB like this.
