Birds Great Egret over the road

Just before we headed off on a road trip, this Great Egret was across the road so I got a few shots and then it took off and I don't my best at in flight shots which I know I am bad at.

I've been fascinated by these blokes lately. This one was out in the water just cruising around by himself last week. Didn't seem to be looking for food or anything, just stretching his legs...

This one was actually flying away from me and going to the other side of the Wetland which is quite wide now that I think of it.

That's what I meant, it's rare they come toward you so don't worry about your thought they weren't good.

No worries but I only thought you meant that it was flying towards me that is all. I never thought of anything else apart from that.
The only birds I know that will fly towards you are our Galah's here as I have had them fly to a tree where I am standing and carry on so I take their photo, and this is honest as the day is long. And this has happened to me with them a couple of times as they can be show off's, plus they still know how to enjoy life even as adult birds.
So all is good with us completely.
