Almost a close encounter with this juvenile Bald Eagle. It caught me by surprise. I couldn't decide which one to post. Do you have a preference?

Absolutely beautiful work. May I ask what you anchor your lens strap to your lens? Would the peak design anchors work on the 200-600?

Wow, super shots. Wonderful.

I think was 2 and 3 I liked best, due to the bird's expression.

Thank you, Terry.

I use the Sony strap that came with the lens. I also have the Peak Design anchors and they will fit/work fine. The reason I use the Sony strap - I never take it off, but I use it only as backup/safety. The lens+camera body combination is too heavy for me to hang around my neck for very long. Instead, I use the Cotton Carrier system to carry two bodies with lenses on my daily walks. I've been using that system for over a year, a least a 2-3 hours a day and I'm still delighted.

More information about that here:

I use that combination, it works fine.
I appreciate you replying Dave. I was concerned about where the string that goes through the strap openings would hold up or eventually break..

Those 'strings' (anchor links) are tested to 200lbs.! I carry my cameras and large lenses on them regularly. The key is to inspect them periodically, and if you see the white cord under the black outer wrap start to appear, it's time to replace them. I'm going on my third year and so far all still the original links.

Tip: Buy a bunch of spare anchor links and put them on your camera's strap lugs, lenses, base plates, anywhere you may want to use a strap. Then you can just snap the strap on as needed.

Yes does work on the 200-600, but i use a Cotton Carrier around my waist as I have back problems. ST uses the Cotton Carrier on his chest which I also use but now only when I'm riding my bike. Hope this helps. Check out the link.
