We're moving to a new building by the end of the year. I've been looking at the same photos on my walls for quite a while now and am going to change them up. This is the set across from my desk and is the main object of the post. Sorry for the crappy cellphone shot:

I decided to put up another themed set and decided on autumn barns for lack of any better ideas. I was able to come up with 8 possibilities. Some I think I'm set on, not so sure about others and would like other opinions. Without revealing any of my own choices, which ones do you prefer? Think in terms of the photos themselves, but also the set and how they'd go together.

I'm posting a poll, but would also like your reasons for choosing the one you did, so please post your thoughts.

Thanks!

#2 is so good, it could stand alone!
I voted to include 4 & 7 to complete my 3-vote maximum, and because you said to think of it as a series.
I also liked 5 & 6, but I didn't see them as part of the same "set"

Thanks Chris!

2,5 and 7 for me..

I like 2, 5 and 6 mate. But really you can print all of them if you wanted as every one of them look better than most of the images sitting in frames at shops.

Thanks for playing, and thanks for the kind words.

Interesting choices so far, a pattern is emerging!

Well, with no more takers I reckon I'll tally the votes. I had this posted at 2 forums so the vote totals reflect both.

For my own choices I had decided on #2 for sure. It also got the most votes and was almost unanimous, with the exception of one person.

My second choice is #5, although it wasn't a given. I don't know why, maybe because it looks quaint, I like the partially denuded tree, the old conveyor to the loft, and the little lane to the right. It just looks like they stopped for lunch.

That was as far as I had gotten. I couldn't decide on the third photo. I really like #1 but it needs cropping. I also like #7 a lot, and I want so badly to like #8. When I saw it driving by it had most of what I was looking for, but the compositions all sucked.

So, without further ado:

#1: 1 vote
#2: 8 votes and the clear winner
#3: 0
#4: 3
#5: 3
#6: 3
#7: 5 the runner up
#8: 1

I think 2 and 7 are perfect choices. 4, 5, and 6 are in a three-way tie, but since I had already been partial to #5, it will be the third photo.

Thanks for playing!
