Stunning shots David. I'm glad I'm not a mantis though, don't they bite their partners head off after doing the deed?

Almost. The male is smaller than the female. He gets started and the female turns and cuts off his head. That releases a nerve that makes the male sexually shy so he goes crazy in his humping. Afterwards, the female eats him. When the queen yelled, "Off with his head!" she had something else in mind!
