Where are the best places you have visited for photography. I live in the amazing town of Fontainebleau where there is a beautiful forest and the famous chateau. However two of my favourite places here in France are Colmar in Alsace and The Savage coast around Quiberon,Brittany.

One of the places I love the most is the west coast of Scotland. The first photo I had enlarged to poster size was a grainy one of the Queen’s View, near Pitlochry. It was enlarged from a grainy 200 ISO negative but with moody skies it still hangs proudly on my Mum’s wall, nearly 35 years later!

I really liked Iceland, especially waterfalls. But you need luck with good weather.

Personally, I feel nearly any body of water can be photogenic.

Icefields Parkway, Alberta Canada. My avatar is from above Moraine Lake. Have only been twice, once the world calms down will plan another.

Falkland Islands every time but C19 has screwed this years trip up or i might have said Antarctic never mind hopefully next year.

Last time I was there was 1982 but didn't get much time to take in the scenery but would love to go back both for photography and to remember.

Hawaii has always been a very photogenic island. you can literally close your eyes, point and shoot anywhere.

The locals would be as glad to see you know as they were in 82 they welcome any one who is not wave, ing a blue and white flag

I loved Ireland for sure as it offered a wide variety of subjects. I live in St Petersburg, FL and have found Ft DeSoto Park to be a great area for a variety of photographic options.

Grand Teton is my favorite. Also (and I may be biased as I live here) pretty much all of Utah is photogenic and unique: 5 national parks, the Salt Flats, mountains, red rock desert, Great Salt Lake shoreline, wildlife and birds... it's hard not to find something pretty to shoot here.

I want to move to St. George. So much great country there.

My favourite places tend to be those that have a story to tell. An abandoned houses, rural scenes gritty city and street scenes, And anything with texture. Rusty, weathered, faded peeling And forgotten objects.

Antelope Canyon is amazing. Chaouen (Marocco) without tourists.

I live in Hawai'i, so I am a bit biased lol. However I also loooooved shooting in Japan!

I was due to go to Japan last May. So, so disappointed. Guess we are still healthy though!

Hopefully you still get a chance to go! The wait will make it all the better once you get there!

Recently visited the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the Antarctic. Took this photo of our ship's photographer while on Half Moon Island (South Shetland Islands).

Massive thread resurrection, but a worthy subject. I can't limit myself to one location, so a top three.

In third place:

For me, it has to be Spain. The light is glorious, the architecture stunning and the people always manage to look cool.

Runner up:

The coastline of Norway, it has everything provided you can get the white balance right. Even the people can tend to underexpose, with their glorious blonde hair and porcelain like skin.

In first place:

Practically anywhere in Asia. Colour, life and contrast. Everything a photographer could want.

I might be a little biased, but I’d say Puerto Rico—especially the west coast, where I live. It truly has everything: stunning beaches, salt flats, incredible wildlife, and mountains all within a short drive. You can go from the ocean to the hills in no time. It’s hard to beat that kind of variety in such a small area.

I lived in Jamaica and often took for granted the coast and mountains that were at my disposal, but then again, I got into photography after moving away.
Of the places in the country where I now reside, I'd list Florida, California, and Arizona (but specifically Sedona, AZ).
Of the places I have visited and only had hasty chances to take a few photos, I would say China, Japan, and Scotland were pretty amazing.

For me I would have to say South Africa. First the wildlife is difficult to top. It is also a unique place for plant life as it is the meeting point of two major plant bio regions. The terrain of SA is also wildly diverse. SA is also kind of the point in which several African cultures finally collided just about when the Europeans were arriving, so it has a mix unlike other African countries.

A lot of my travel has been either for work or for birds and with those you don't really get time to take in many of the spots. I know I missed a lot of amazing sights in Costa Rica and Thailand because significant amount of the travel was in forested areas and it was easy to miss sights because you happened to look away as the short break in the trees went by.

If you are looking to photograph tropical beaches St John's is amazing mostly because so much of the island is a national park meaning many beaches are not cluttered with resort garbage.
