Photoshop now with Gigapixel built in...

Having just updated Photodshop CC to the latest version, I have noticed that have added Topaz Gigapixel upscaling to it as part of it's generative AI features. They are calling it partner software. An interesting move I feel. Maximum image size is 50mp as a starting point.

Yes. They have done the same with Generative Fill, introducing Nano Banana (Google Gemini) and Flux Kontext Pro.

I quite like Generative Fill. It's very clever, when I need it, which is rare. I haven't heard of the others.

It's interesting that they have clearly realised how good some of Topaz software is, and whether they have bought them out of just licenced it I am unaware.

They are just licensing the plugins. I will continue to use the Topaz apps as Adobe are charging more credits for the third party plugins and I have a stack of Topaz credits.

Credits? I pay a monthly sub for Photoshop. Topaz I bought outright ages ago.

Yes. With your monthly Photoshop sub you get 100 Generative Credits. These don't roll over either. I have just used Generative Expand on two pieces of scanned art work for my wife and that has used one credit for each.

I'm not sure what's going on with Topaz's Generative credits with the recent changes but I am a beta tester for Gigapixel and every time I give them feedback on a new version they have sent me I get credits. I have almost 4,000 at the moment.
