Hi, everyone! My first post in this forum.

I understand that the a7RV isn't as sharp as, say, the a7IV when recording videos in 4k 24p full frame due to skipping pixels, unless one turns on APSC mode. Do I understand this correctly? And if so, if I turn on APSC mode while shooting 4k in the a7RV, then the video quality will then be the same as in the a7IV?

I think Jordan described the various video options in depth for the A7RV in the DPreview TV video, and explained why the APS-C option was best - I recommend you watch it soon, ‘cause it will be gone soon!

I would be grateful for the link to the video :)

I would say that the A7IV is a more general purpose camera that is good for video and stills. The A7RV is a specialist stills camera with fantastic detail resolution that happens to be able to shoot video if you need. If your primary focus is video, I wouldn't recommend getting the A7RV. As a stills camera, the A7RV is superb.
