I went to a birding area and as usual where there are birds there will be lizards.
This Shingleback looks to be in tip top condition and so this means it is a healthy one.
And it never even bothered about me being close to it either.

These grow to a little over 12 or so inches long and it could be a little more on a few, but they are always a good distraction when out birding.

As kids we use to go out bush and collect them for our lizard area at home and they can become so tame that they miss you handling them. I am unsure what happened to them all when we stopped being interested in them. But I am sure my other brothers took them back out bush and released them.
