Sony A1 Bluetooth problems

Hi, I believe there has been many reports of the dreaded "Wi-Fi Bluetooth unit has malfunctioned. Cannot use the wireless network function" with the Sony A1's. I sold my A1 to a friend who has had it for about a month, it was sold with latest firmware so has not happened after an update. I was just wondering if anyone on here has any experience of a fix WITHOUT replacing the main "motherboard" ?

I have tried clearing all bluetooth settings and ultimately just reset the camera back to factory settings with no luck...

Also anyones experience with Sony UK and repair costs

My friend is very new to photography and tbh the A1 is very much an overkill for him but he does like to download photos straight to his phone to view the pictures so unfortunately the function is important to him,

Got to work out what to do, may just give him his money back and have a camera with no bluetooth/wifi or do I send away and swallow a bill for thick end of £1000 looking at others I have seen online..

The real annoying thing is I sold it to him for the same as MPB offered, obviously would have had no come back with that sale but can't leave a mate with that type of fault after such a small amount of time
