Tamron 28-200

Well, I finally bit. MPB had one with all original packaging and accessories for $560. Too good to pass up. I don't think it'll replace the 24-105 for my main lens at the track due to the wide short-end, but can't even recall how many times I've wanted more on the long end for a walk around lens. I have been contemplating another superzoom since I got rid of the 24-240, can't wait for it to arrive.

Yeah, the reviews show it punching well above it's weight. Considering the compromises that come with a superzoom, it sounds like this is pretty solid.

Thanks for that. I was fairly disappointed in the 24-240, hoping this one fills the bill. The good news is your opinion seems to be shared by many.

I got one about a month ago, great lens and sharp even wide open.
