Brother, I got salt water everywhere. The a7rv w the 70-200 f4II seems to have survived. I have never been hit by such a wave on dry land.

I live in FL and that's my biggest fear taking my gear to the beach: saltwater will ruin your gear if you make a habit of exposing it... you really tested your weather seals LOL!

Honestly, I watched that spot for a solid 5 minutes before deciding to go down to it. Not once did a wave do that in that time. It took me about 5 more minutes to get down to the spot, I set up and got quite a few shots before, then, I heard a deep wave crash below me, I looked up and knew I was in trouble. I just kept clicking the shutter, so my wife would know what got me.
