Sony A9 Auto ISO stuck on 100

I didn't see this issue in any previous threads I could find. The auto ISO on my A9 is stuck on 100. I can set ISO to any value manually but as soon as I choose auto it reverts to 100. Has anyone had this issue, and could it be operator error? Always willing to consider the latter!

Is your range limiter just set to 100 for top and bottom?

Thanks for the replies. The auto ISO range setting is on full, from 50 to 12,800. The "Auto Minimum SS" is set to Standard. I'm thinking this might be a repair issue.

How were you testing this? If you were using one of the modes such as aperture or shutter priority the camera might be achieving the correct exposure with ISO 100 by dropping the shutter speed or opening the aperture. If you set it to manual (M) then increase the shutter speed you should see the ISO increase at some point unless it has been limited. Is this a recent issue and it was previously working fine? Or is it a new camera purchase? A camera reset to factory defaults might help as a last resort.

I'd been shooting various things in Kirkwall, and suddenly in a dim-light situation I noticed the camera started giving me one-second-plus exposures. I looked and noticed the ISO seemed stuck on 100, so I moved the camera around into bright light. No matter where I pointed the camera gave me ISO 100. Switching to aperture or shutter priority made no difference—the camera adjusted speed and aperture but the ISO remained stuck on 100. I can adjust ISO manually and the camera clearly responds by compensating speed/aperture to the set ISO. But switching back to auto ISO sticks it right back at 100.

Strange. I'd reset it back to the factory defaults before considering a repair. I'd try it with a different lens as well, just in case there's a contact issue.

Good idea; I'll try both. We're flying back to the U.S. in a day, so my results might be delayed.

Tim, thanks for the advice! Resetting to factory defaults seems to have cured the issue. Auto ISO is acting normally now.

I spoke too soon. It's stuck again. I think repair is called for.
