That doesn't make sense either. A lens with an even number of aperture blades will create sunstars with the same number of rays. So, 6 blades = 6 rays. On the other hand, a lens with an odd number of blades will create sunstars with double the number of rays. 9 blades = 18 rays, 7 = 14, etc.I shot that in Prague. I did have one other lens at that time. An old Pentax 50mm F1.4 film lens - with 6 blades. Ionly tested it a couple of times while on holidays but that would explain it. Also explains the dodgy focus. Manual.
If the Pentax lens was used and had 6 blades, there should be 6 rays.
