News First Viltrox and now Meike

Couple days ago Viltrox announced a series of fast 1.2 primes and a whole bunch of other lenses. Now Meike is announcing a series of 1.4 primes. It’s tough to fathom how or why we need more fast primes in the Sony ecosystem. Perhaps it just the entry-level factor.

Judging from APSC lenses only: Meike seems to have a following by offering bargain-priced manual lenses... maybe they're finally stepping up to AF, and to budget seekers that could be good news.

I think the f1.4 lenses are great for Nikon shooters as they do not have any. As for Sony mount choice is always good. Those that can afford will still opt for Sony but if a Viltrox 85f1.4 is the same price as the Sony 85f1.8 people on a smaller budget will be tempted.
