Sony A7 III Image distortion (stretching) Using Sony A7iii shooting pro soccer

Using Sony A7iii shooting pro soccer; when shooting at 1/1000 in continuous hight-speed mode, the images occasionally appear stretched or bent, across the entire frame. Any thoughts welcome!

Sounds like the classic Rolling Shutter. In the beginning, when I first got my A7 III, I did a fair amount of shooting with electronic shutter and never had a problem. The problem occurs when shooting motion. You can google search this. The high end Sony cameras like the A9 and the A1 have a stacked sensor and therefor process very quickly and they don't suffer this malady. Our A7's have a backlit sensor which is not as fast. The stacked sensor will cost a lot more money. Good luck. The A7 III is an excellent camera, but most equipment have limitations. This is ours.
