I broke a 16-35mm GM lens on a trip, the aperture can not change nor focus works (either auto or manual). So, have to look into either repairing or replacing. Wondering what others experience was repairing a lens with similar issues. Should I send for repair, or look at buying a used? Do repair costs for the electronics/mechanical get costly, or is this cheaper than the actual glass/lens repairs?
