Had I not bit on the Tamron 50-400 for the extra 50mm at the short end, I would still be using it.

There's a sample image thread here in the forum. It's sharper, has a wider range, excellent weather sealing, Tamron's top notch AF motors, is virtually identical in size, has 1:2 'macro' close focusing, and costs about $500 more. Check out the sample thread below.
