Your Photo of the Week

Of course you can Ralph and I appreciate your thoughts. I like the idea of showing that some lucky people get to wake up everyday and see this amazing view. Personally, I think the houses in the foreground make the shot special. I can edit one of the multiple shots I took in the style you have mentioned and email it to you if you'd like, maybe you could frame it up and put it on your living room wall. 🙂

Thanks for that but I am saving all wall spaces at home for family shots and my birds shots or what I take.
I can understand what you mean in what you have said about the shot and just really show how we all have different ways of looking at what we see.
And how our interpretation's of a shot can be different as well.
It is so different to what we have here so good to see.

Week 49. My first outing birding this year, and a beautiful day, which included me seeing a lifer bird in the form of a Shore Lark. This photo though, is of a fabulous Red Kite that flew in close while we were walking the deer park. I hadn't put my shutter speed up, and so was surprised it came out so well, but the bird was just gliding gently. Perfect light today.

This has to be mine for this week as it is in my 1st outing and these are in my top 5 birds and usually much harder to get. So our smallest bird in Australia the Weebill is my shot of the week entry.

Week 50. A dismal day in general today, damp, grey, windy and cold, but it didn't stop the Marsh Harriers hunting, and the wet weather has actually given the head feathers and slicked back look. He came pretty close.

Thank you! These guys usually look so elegant and dignified as they cruise around the lake, but yesterday this one was just having the best time splashing around, contorting himself into various positions, looking downright goofy at times....irresistible! I was tickled that I was able to watch him and get some snots.

superb lighting sir, nice job :)
Cheers Gary. The light has been playing nice for the past couple of days, I'm not expecting it to last though!
