I'm a hobbyist photographer mostly focusing on landscapes in California (A7R5).

I recently got a star tracker and may post a bit regarding this in the future.

Long ago I wrote some commercial medical image processing software so have a bit of background in digital imaging.

I'm attaching a couple of 2024 holiday images from Pismo Beach.

Looking forward to learning and interacting with this group.

Welcome to the forum.

What star tracker have you got? I'm thinking of getting one soon.

Thanks:)

Based on the article below, I chose the Sky Watcher Star Adventurer GTi:

About that, beware of the learning curves.

I have been looking at the Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Mini. They have recently updated it with a more precise worm gear drive. I actually know their Australian Sales Manager. I'm only going to be doing Milky Way stuff so not using big heavy lenses or anything.

Sounds good. My longest lens is 200mm.
Here's a review of the older 2i which I found helpful. Good luck and please share some of your results!
