Looks like the last version is 3.2, and it was released in 2021, so I don't think they'll release a newer one, unless they are fixing a bug or adding compatibility with some new lenses. You can keep this link in your favorites and check it once in a while to see if they release a new one.

I think the OP has seen the announcement of the V4 firmware for the A9 III, but that firmware is not for the A9 II. The A9 II is quite a different camera, with the older much less capable processor, and the much older sensor. I don't think they could port the V4 features back that far, even if they wanted to.

The A9 III is an extraordinary camera, and very much recommended if you feel the need for speed
