Got this one out the backyard and I have no idea what it is, except that it is a bug.

I remembered about this one I took only 2 days ago.
This little Skink was trying to get the Spider down into the crack from the pathway around the house.
It struggled for a long time then finally found a wide enough spot to take it down.

snake with legs :)
While I was out birding today my wife was at home and she had to kill a 1 foot baby brown snake.
I may not sound dangerous but at this size they have no control over how much poison they inject into you so they are killers even at this size.

This Speckled Bush Cricket was sitting on one of our roses a couple of days ago. Fascinating little chap, very long antennae.

A Willow Emerald Damselfly with a tasty snack in my garden this afternoon. Totally unexpected and a first ever here, I usually have to travel to find them.

I like the dreamlike feel of this picture. Beautiful.
Alex it is just a bit of luck really I have spent sometime trying to capture dragonflies in flight which is really much harder than I thought but these smaller guys at least stop for the odd second or two cheers (y)

A Migrant Hawker (immature male) in my garden. I really like the colour of the background, which comes from the leaves of the tree it's on which have inexplicably died off.
