And yet it happened! A1, A7S III, A7 IV, and A9 III firmware announced today.
The A7 IV was not expected.
There seem to be a lot of additions to the A1, not just bug fixes, but they seem to divide into:
There was one that some people might like: sync from camera to Creator Cloud, but I think that might be more for the ZV crowd
Also beware: the update will wipe your settings, and the new firmware won’t read the old setting files!!
And it’s an old-style “plug your camera in” update - main reason I applied one of the recent updates was to get “update from card”!

- Stuff for big companies / press people (sync’ing cameras, transferring files, authenticity support, etc) - this stuff seems lifted from the A9 III
- Stuff for video people - focus breathing, time code, stream video over USB
- Little stuff (9999 images in a folder!)
