So, haven’t seen this come up in the threads yet, but I’ve been trying to figure out how weatherproof my new(ish) sony a7ii is, and whether I need to get a waterproof cover. I am using the a7ii, a 24-70mm Sony OSS kit lens and the Sony 50mm f1.8 entry level lens at the moment and heading out into the UK countryside looking for waterfalls. Only to quickly realise that a) being in the UK means a lot of rain, and b) standing in front of a waterfall creates a lot of mist that builds up on the camera body and lenses.
I’ve done a little research and found a number of options, from the peak design covers, to the mindshift, to using a shower cap.
Has anyone got experience of both the weatherproofing in tougher conditions or suggestions on affordable options for weatherproofing your kit?
Thanks in advance sony alpha crew!
