The Sony A7 V has received its first firmware update since release. Version 1.01 is now the latest firmware available.
A number of A7 V Shooters had been experiencing issues when using third-party CFexpress Type A cards together with WiFi, this firmware hopefully addresses these issues and others.

Firmware v1.01 Benefits and Improvements
- Fixes an issue where noise may appear in the preview image embedded in RAW files captured with the RAW & HEIF setting
- Fixes an issue where the camera may not power on after being turned off while the Connect while Power Off setting is enabled
(under Network → Connect/Remote Shoot) - Improves compatibility with third-party CFexpress Type A memory cards
- Improves the operational stability of the camera

How to Update the Firmware
You can update your Sony A7 V firmware either via the Creators App or by downloading the firmware and installing it via memory card.
