I know that crossing. I have actually seen Egyptian Geese wait for the cars to stop!
We have a flock of Egyptian Geese and Canadian Geese on the heath by the pond, but I haven't seen them cross before, only our well behaved English Greylag Geese seem to obey the highway code.

Mum and very young (and very late!) Kittiwake youngster today. The breeding season for these birds ends in June and the eggs take 45-48 days to hatch, so she must have bred right at the end of the season. Great to see.

AT least it is not spitting fish down the youngsters (y) neck like in Daves shot

Great Horned Owl hunting in the dusk. Had the chance to catch one of them in flight a couple times but it was just too dark.

Nice shot Gary. Love these little birds, such characters.

An unusual sight around here: a male Belted Kingfisher on the pier's chain as a cormorant casually swims by....

Clint stop it you are making want this lens

I went on a 20km waterfall mission today. Will edit those in the next few days. Tell you what, this new lightweight landscape backpack setup with 400mm f8 or 26mp 600mm f8 ready to go for wildlife if I come across something is really fantastic! It really is a nice little luxury to have a complete 16-600mm kit that weighs next to nothing combined with my 400gm Explorer GX-Pro K tripod. Words wouldn't do any justice of just how impressed I was today. 👏

Just negotiated the best deal I could on this lens, by trading in Sony 24-240 that I haven’t used since I bought my first prime lens. I can’t wait for it to arrive.

What did you pay mate? I got mine at the DigiDirect sales. $2,500 with 2x teleconverter included, crazy stuff! ✅
