Iconic thread if it is iconic in yours eyes post the shot and a few words please

Hopefully this "iconic" scene is more calming than my previous entry and not too much of a cliché:
Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto, Japan:

If the center looks a bit funky, its because I tried to use magic eraser to remove some tourists, so don't judge me too harshly LOL!

EDIT: what makes it Iconic? The use of bamboo throughout Japanese history in everything from construction to crafts, and the relaxing sound of wind in bamboo leaves is distinct and very pleasant... as long as you can get there before the hordes of tourists. Kanpai!

ok I know you guys have seen this before recently, but on my many visits to Tuscany I never wanted to visit Pisa but when you actually see the leaning tower you wonder how it has stood so long. shots

from June this year, of course several rounds of remedial work have helped but of course it is built on a drained marsh with foundation only 3 metres deep

Beautiful loved this place unfortunately for me all I ever shot with in Japan was with everything but a Sony camera.

Love Italy as well, lucky for me I guess I shot with my RX1rII more than I remembered here are three that are iconic to Italy because of the story they tell. Bologna, Asti and Rome

Awesome. Held up by some of the finest British engineering.

Stanley my old home town.
Known best for the volcanic plug known widely as 'The Nut"
Shots of the Nut are surely iconic and instantly recognizable in the state of Tasmania.

I lived in California for 5 yrs, it would almost be more iconic if it were the summertime brown grass that is present the majority of the year 😅
But that's a nice capture.
But it's ugly! I'm expectantly waiting for the green to return, although I understand your point.

You know, Lightroom could straighten that for you! OK, don't get your panties in a bunch! It was just a joke.

I was thinking how lucky you were to get this shot without no one else in sight... Until I read your commentary haha.

Is it as iconic without people? 🤔 😂

Nice shot, lovely light and great rendering of the greenery.

Ok I will try again we will call this the Iconic thread, if it is Iconic to you that is all that matters, it can be a view, building, car, place what ever , this should be easy for all to take part in please post shots and a few words, members can as usual comment on submissions but not tell poster it not Iconic because it is the posters choice.

Very nice stuff! It's a real pity that you have so many non Sony images Bob!
funny you say that but this was one of my last trips with shooting mostly with a pair of Fuji XT2s, brought the RX for those times i was not "really"shooting" in retrospect I guess I shot with the RX1 more than I remebered

Definitely an iconic sight / site in Washington, DC: the Jefferson Memorial at the Tidal Basin. This was shot some years ago early in the morning when I was with friends and fellow photographers who were all there to photograph another ionic sight and much beloved springtime tradition, the cherry blossoms on the many beautiful trees planted around there. Haven't found those images yet, so this will have to do for the moment:
