Samyang, which is also known as Rokinon in the US has announced their latest lens, and this time its the AF 12mm F2 E lens for Sony APS-C cameras like the Sony a6400.
The lens is constructed of 12 elements in 10 groups, including three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements. There’s a 7 blade aperture diaphragm, a 19cm (7.5”) minimum focusing distance and a 62mm front filter thread.
There’s also a newly-developed autofocus stepping motor inside the lens. The lens itself measures 59mm (2.3″) long, 70mm (2.8”) in diameter and weighs in at just 213g (7.5oz).
The Samyang AF 12mm F2 E (ASP-C) is available to pre-order today for $399 in the US and £359.00 in the UK. First shipping is expected in June 2021.
