TTArtisan’s latest lens is a very affordable autofocus 35mm f/1.8 lens for Sony E-mount, Fujifilm X, and Nikon Z-mount APS-C cameras.
The lens costs just $149 and is available through TTArtisan’s official stores.
The lens is constructed of 10 elements in eight groups and includes one extra-low dispersion (ED) glass element to reduce chromatic aberration as well as two high refractive index elements.
It features an aperture range of f/1.8 through f/16 and a nine-bladed diaphragm. The minimum focusing distance is 0.6 meters (approx. 23.6 inches) and there is a front filter thread of 52mm.
Autofocus is driven by an STM plus “lead-screw type structure” that TTArtisan says provides quiet and fast autofocus and that Eye AF should work well on supported cameras.
The lens weighs 199 grams (7.02 ounces). The lens and barrel mount are made of aluminum, but there are mostly plastic parts elsewhere. A metal lens hood with a rectangular opening is included.
There’s also a USB-C port to allow for future firmware upgrades.
